2020 Call for Conference Proposals


Are you interested in sharing your knowledge for our 2020 conference?  




The Michigan Association of School Social Workers and the Midwest School Social Work Council would like to invite you to submit a proposal to our combined annual conference in Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, Michigan on October 21, 22, and 23, 2020. This will be the 53rd annual Midwest School Social Work Council Conference and the 2020 MASSW Annual State Conference. The Midwest School Social Work Council is a coalition of the eleven Midwestern state associations (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin) for school social workers. This will be an exciting year as attendees will get together to learn and network with over 450 social workers from the Midwestern states. We will be celebrating and embracing cultural competency this year with the theme of: "Our Differences: Our Strengths." 


We are currently seeking proposals in the following areas:

  • Other Topics & Interests to School Social Workers

  • For workshop proposals: Please follow the directions outlined in this document to submit your proposal by May 1, 2020!
